Poc - LightningJS
Part of the product of 24i build with LightningJs as part of proofing we need to use a new technology stack. I worked together on this with a colleague and the result is solid.
Background
At 24i, we'd been building TV apps for years using an ageing in-house framework. To build a business case for migrating to LightningJS, we needed to prove it could handle our product's demands in practice.
The proof of concept
Working together with a colleague, I built a functional streaming TV application using LightningJS — the same kind of content browsing experience 24i ships to millions of devices. The goal was to validate performance, developer experience, and feature parity with what we already had.
Outcome
The result was solid. The PoC demonstrated that LightningJS was a viable path forward and gave the team the confidence needed to commit to the migration.
